Barclays Credit card department,
I had a promotional balance that expired -/-/2015. The -/-/2015 statement balance was -. I paid the full statement balance in - - and -. Barclays did not apply the payments to the promotional rate and instead applied it to charges that were made after the statement generation date and not do an payable until the next statement generated. I was charged - in interest on - - -. I was told they were allowed to apply my payment to charges made after the statement generation date and not to the promotional balance which was paid in full - times prior to expiration. I am also forbidden from pre-paying '' charges until the next statement. It is a trap designed so that I can never pay off the promo balance.
