I received an alert on my credit report of a collection account. I never received any communication from them. I do not believe I owe the bill but I was never provided an opportunity, or a copy of the original bill, to confirm it is legitimate. This is a scam that a collection company can report something without even contacting the debtor. This should be removed from my credit report and then provided to me to review and dispute or pay.
