Installment loan Problems when you are unable to pay North Carolina
I had car loan with GM Financial, they have the beginning date as - -, vehicle was not purchased until - -, which was voluntarily turned in - of - due to my financial situation due to a prior job loss. The car was sold at auction in - -. I received a notice from the IRS stating I owed taxes for - on this car because GM Financial had turned in a - for -. I did not own the care in -, there has been no activity on the account from me since - -. I also received a carfax on this vehicle, every year that I registered the car for my tag - where I live, the car was also registered - which indicates the car was suppose to be a lease, not a purchase as I was told by the finance company. The car was sold for - and they turned in $3600.00 on the -, again in - not - the year I turned the car back in to the company. This was not earned income, I never received any income from GM Financial. According to all the fees, I more than paid the full price of the car and in addition they received an extra $4000.00 when it was sold at auction. I have tried contacting the company many times and if I 'm lucky enough to speak with someone I only get the run around. BEWARE of this company!!!
