Ford Motor Credit Company Consumer loan department,
Vehicle loan Managing the loan or lease Texas
I financed a vehicle through Ford Motor Credit in -/-/-. At the time I was making $50.00 an hour and paying for my loan was not a problem. I became totally - and got behind on my payments and I am nearing the end of my contract. I receive Social Security and - - payments which is my only income. I contacted Ford Motor Credit in -/-/- and made a $900.00 payment and advised the nice lady that I would pay at least that monthly in order to satisfy the loan. She told me that a person from her retail department would contact me and try to assist me to get back on tract. Instead I get a call from a very rude man from their collections department demanding that I pay the total past due or I would need to surrender the vehicle. I told him several times that I did not have that kind of money and my vehicle is my only means to get back and forth to my numerous doctors appointments. He became very arrogant and told me that if my house payment was behind that they would foreclose on my house, which my mortgage company
to which I explained was my only means of communication. My home address is in - but I am in - undergoing medical treatment for my disease. I am - most of the time and have a hard time speaking on the phone. I have sent emails to the executive offices of Ford Motor Credit, the - to no avail. I tried using the secure email system through Ford Motor Credit but the response is always that I need to call and they are unable to help me through email. Maybe they do not understand that I am trying to pay them money and they do not have to be arrogant and demeaning towards their customers that pay their wages. While my account was past due I would get at least - calls a day on my cell phone telling me to call Ford Motor Credit. As I stated above I have difficulty communicating at times due to my illness but no one cares. I just want to pay off the vehicle. I have paid around - thus far for this vehicle with financing and they want to take it when I am so close to paying it off. I am putting half my Social Security into paying the vehicle off. I do not want anything free, just some empathy and understanding in my situation. I have been in - about 45 years and have never treated a person as such, let alone a - -.
