Zions Bancorporation Bank Account Or Service Complaint

Checking account Problems caused by my funds being low

Zions Bancorporation Bank account or service department,

Checking account Problems caused by my funds being low Utah

After numerous troubles with fraudulent charges, unjust service charges, poor customer service and policies that change to suit the bank, we decided to bank elsewhere. In trying to make sure that auto charges are being switched over to the new account, I checked the account yesterday morning and found that - auto-debit was floating and needed to be addressed. I immediately deposited cash to cover the pending '' charges. During our problems with fraudulent charges, we were informed that pending '' charges could n't be disputed or stopped because they had not been honored yet and we were forced to wait three weeks and face late fees from our mortgage institution and utilities because we had to wait a long period of time to have the charges investigated because

pending '' status. Additionally, according to their online banking site, there was - item pushing my account to $6.00 overdrawn and then they delayed processing the cash deposit so they could charge another item fee, therefore totaling - item fees. When I checked this morning - of my insurances had erroneously billed their account instead of the new account and I rushed to make the cash available. I was told that this pending '' item was already being honored and that even if I got my insurance company to reverse the error, they would charge another item fee. I am complaining, because when the opportunity suits them pending '' transactions can be held in cyberspace and the financial stability of my family can be left in limbo for days and weeks, but I can not address erroneous charges while they are pending. '' I have no way of correcting or disputing charges without incurring fees anyway. Cash deposits should be immediately available funds and be able to be applied to charges that by the bank 's own admission have not cleared their institution yet. It leaves consumers powerless to prevent fees in erroneous situations while pursuing action against those improperly billing. Charging fees for charges yet cleared while not immediately honoring cash deposits only benefits the bank and unjustly penalizes the account holder.
