U.S. Bancorp Credit Card Complaint

Balance transfer

U.S. Bancorp Credit card department,

Balance transfer Arizona

Misleading and deceptive practices by US Bank regarding 0 % interest balance transfers. I was offered a 0 % balance transfer and told, after explicit questioning, that I would not be subject to any interest charges if I paid the monthly new purchase amount plus the minimum payment amount. However, even though I complied with what I was told by their representative, US Bank started charging me interest on the new purchases amount. They may hide this information in their fine print, but they mislead consumers in what they actually tell them regarding their balance transfer offers. Their claim of a 0 % interest balance transfer is misleading and deceptive because what they do not tell consumers is that you can not avoid interest charges unless you discontinue use of the card. US Bank did apparently remove the interest charges and I have discontinued use of the card, but my complaint is again, their misleading and deceptive practices. I initially started my complaint with US Bank in - 2015 after discovering they were charging me interest for the first - months following the balance transfer.
