I submitted a debt collection harrassment complaint against Home Depot - Citi. Case number : -. They responded with a demand notice for payment. I went to pay that debt today the due date, even though - days late. When I entered their site, I had to go to a credit center, then select the card I wanted to pay. It was very difficult to figure out what sign in to enter. I was registering for a Home Depot on line account when I realized it was no the correct place. In small print at the bottom of the form was - are you trying to pay a credit card, click here ... It was very deceptive and an attempt to gather my information for unecessary reasons. When I finally got into my account, I clicked on Make a Payment. The form took me to an update contact form. It required my home phone number, which is a cell, and I did not want to give it. I provided a work number instead. I removed my cell. On Save, it said, sorry we are unable to process this. I did this - times, and it would not let me make


were required to save the form. After saving it, I clicked on Make a Payment, and it finally let me make a payment. The required phone number on the first request was deceptive, abusive, and their form did not let me make a payment. This kind of service is abusive, confusing, deceptive, unrealistic to consumers. Citi should be fined and forced to stop using these tactics they can not support customers. They harrassed me with - calls a day every hour and then their stupid system would not let me make a payment. This kind of treatment HURTS the Home Depot brand. I 'm pretty sure this tactic was a abusive response to my creating a complaint earlier, which is AGAINST THE LAW to take action or treat me different on my account just because I submitted a complaint. They can not treat me any different based on race, etc. or if a complaint is issued against them. This is abusive and against the law and Citi should be held responsible for this unlawful and abusive tactic, just as they should be held responsible for the abusive and repeated calls.
