Credit monitoring or identity protection Account terms and changes Missouri
I applied online for a car loan and was directed to a website listed below that stated I had to submit my information for a credit check. The website was recognizable as Transunion, so I believed it to be reputable. However, after entering my credit card information ( which appeared to be required to prove identity ) no information or indication was made that I was signing up for a monthly service of $ -. My card was then charged $1.00 which I was also not made aware of and subsequently 7 days later another charge for $17.00. While the service itself may not be a scam, the fashion of non-disclosure that I was purchasing '' or being charged for a transaction '' was the scam. It may have had an agreement in fine-print, but no where was it clearly indicated that I was signing up or authorizing a purchase for a specific amount. This is a predatory attempt to make money ( like a bait and switch game ) from those attempting to simply apply for a loan. I attempted to contact the company to dispute the charges, but they stated they would not remove me from this re-occurring service. I am therefore reporting this as fraud. Here is the website and contact information : - - - is the website for the car loans that directed me to that website : -
