Barclays Credit card department,
On - - 2015, I was visiting - ( - ). I took a taxicab there, from the center of the city to my hotel. This should have cost not more than $20.00. The taxi driver insisted that I pay by credit card, took my credit card and returned it to me. I did not sign anything. Shortly thereafter I was told that the driver had in fact charged $510.00 for the ride. On the very same day I called the credit card company ( Barclaycard from Barclays Bank Delaware ) to complain. They said that they would look into the matter and would let me know. Three months later, ( as of - - ) they are still charging me for it. They claim that they talked to the merchant and he insisted that it was a legitimate charge, and that they can therefore do nothing about it. They sent me a copy of the voucher, with a signature that looks nothing like mine. I have talked to the people at Barclaysbank Delaware at least - times. They always say that they will look into it, but never do anything about it. I have sent them a handwritten letter, but they do nothing about it. I want everyone to know about this. These people would rather take the word of some taxi driver in - than mine.
