I have an - - Mastercard through Barclay 's bank which is supposed to give me - free piece of checked baggage on a - or - - flight. I was charged for baggage both legs of my rountrip flight. I called Barclay 's bank and was told i should call the airline. Since Barclay 's is the card company, and they sold me the card with the promise that i get - checked bag for free, i feel like it is the card company that should reverse the - $25.00 charges. They say the fine print requires that i make the reservation using the card, but the brochure that came with the card simply says i get a checked bag for free in very clear print. I have attached this document. Note that it does not qualify the promise of - free checked bag with any mention of other requirements, whereas the paragraph regarding getting a discount on in-plane food specifies that the credit card must be used. I also got cut off from the call with Barclay 's after a long wait. The second time, I spoke to a manager, who also told me to call the airlines. Since Barclay 's made the promises, I feel like Barclay 's should refund my $50.00.
