Charged fees or interest I didn't expect Florida

My Govt. check usually is deposited in my bank on the - of each month. I was sent an e-mail stating that my check would not reach my bank until - -, I sent Spotloan a request to defer their debit payment from the -/-/- to the -/-/- ( - days ) They responded that they would not be taking out my next payment and by deferring my payment would add $590.00 in interest to my account.
