On - - 2014 I cancelled my credit card with barclays bank. I just received a collection notice from - wanting -. I called Barclay bank they say that a bill was paid over a month after the card had been cancelled for -. They never contacted me about the bill. I asked them for the phone # and address they had and it was correct, I asked them why they never contacted me, they did not know. I said i would pay the -, they said they could not deal with me that I have to deal with the collection agency. The collection agency wants - and will not deal. I asked if I pay the - would they take it off my credit report they said no. First I believe barclays had no authority to pay the - and should have had the store contact me. Second Barclays should have at least tried to contact me about the - dollars. Now they have destroyed my credit. I am willing to pay the - but they must remove it from my credit report
