Credit reporting company's investigation investigation took too long
TransUnion Credit reporting department,
Credit reporting company's investigation Investigation took too long New Jersey
I originally filed an identity theft report ( FTC and police report ) -/-/-. - and - corrected and updated my credit report accordingly. TransUnion had up to - business days after the acceptance of the identity theft report to block my information pursuant to FCRA 605B. The unverified items that are reporting on my credit report were never blocked or investigated ; TransUnion only parroted that they were verified. I sent another letter on -/-/- once again stating that these items must be deleted, and again they were not. Again I wrote on -/-/- and nothing happened. I sent a debt validation letter on -/-/- and was only told that it was verified again. I included in this letter that the CRA must send me the documentation as proof of verification and validation of the debt. I sent my - and final written request on -/-/-. I will be sending out an intent to sue in - days. I also called TransUnion and spoke with someone there. I have her direct information if you would like it. She told me that TransUnion does not need to provide documentation, and this violates my rights, as these accounts were then never verified. All of my requests have been ignored and I intend to pursue this to the full extent, as these accounts are unverified and do not belong on my credit report.
