I have a BP Visa card previously issued by - and sold to Synchrony. I did not receive a final bill from -, but when I received my first bill from Synchrony, I was told I was delinquent for failing to pay my last bill. While the interest charges are minimal - $4.00 -, I have never missed a credit card payment before and would not have missed this one had - & Synchrony taken better action to transition the account. Further, I am concerned about a negative mark on my credit report. From speaking with a representative at Synchrony, I am informed that my bill was posted online by - - paperless billing ) on - -, but that the account was removed by - -. At that point, I had no way of knowing how to make my final payment. Further, I do not recall seeing this final bill from - online. If this practice was widespread, then the interest charges from other consumers could add up to a more substantial amount.
