Credit line increase/decrease Idaho
On -/-/-/2015 I called customer care for - credit cards to see options for trying to open my available for purchase amount. I had just returned an item and was looking to purchase something else. When I spoke to the representative he advised me there were no options and I would have to wait for the credit to apply. We then spoke about a possible credit limit increase. At this time he said that since it was a new account and nothing had changed the credit line probably would n't change. This is considered discouraging a customer to request a credit limit increase and is in turn against the law. When I advised him that what he just said was illegal he then said he can help me request the increase. I just really surprised and taken back by my interaction with this company.
