Payday loan Communication tactics Threatened to take legal action California
On -/-/-/-/2015, at - - PST, I received a voice mail from - - with - - at my place of employment. The message stated the the call is regarding case file, -, concerning a bad payment passed through - - Bank, in an breach of contract, that looked to have been done maliciously ''. When I called - back, I was not provided the mini-miranda. He told that the account was pre-legal and that their attorney would be looking to sue me in small claims court in - - because the balance was less than $5000.00. When asked, he advised me that they are located in New York. It would appear that there was no real intent to sue at the time I was told this. Additionally, the voice mail and collector uses term case fie '' to describe my account number with them in an attempt to misrepresent the legal status of the account.
