We received a phone call from - from someone named - - working for - Investigations. She said she was verifying I was at this phone number because there is a lawyer about to file in court about - payday loans from 8+ years ago. She had my old address and drivers license number and the details of the debt. She said to contact a lawyer named - - in - -, VA at - to discuss. She said there would be a warrant within 24-48 hours. The lawyer 's number had been disconnected. When I called the - number, the voicemail said the phone belonged to - -. I googled this name and found many scams associated with it. I believe this is a scam, and it is worrisome that these people have my information. I 'm not sure if this is the right place to report this. I 'm not sure if the PayDay loan company shared his info with these people.
