Checking account Problems caused by my funds being low New York
Made a bank to bank transfer due to insufficient funds so that I would not be charged with an overdraft fee. I called to let them know the transfer wont make it on time and she said to call back once the transaction is listed in the history so that they can waive the fee. I call back once the transfer appears on the history and the representative on the phone say 's theres no way for me to have the overdraft fee waived. At this point I am not upset about the fee but at the fact that the - representative told me specifically to wait until it shows up on my card history of the bank transfer so that they can waive the fee. At this point, me waiting for the fee to show up, had costed me an additional overdraft fee which Is now unnecessary additional money I had to pay out of my pocket. I am upset that each individual representative that i spoke to over the phone denies any liabilities when it comes to what they say. It is a reflection of a dishonest company where each representative does not want to take responsibility for what has been said. I will soon close my account with M & T bank soon due to their lack of diligence in this matter and their obvious greed to generate revenues from overdraft fees.
