All of the above categories apply. This company, - -, contacted my husband - - on - -, -/-/2014. The representatives name was - -. She did not state that this was an attempt to collect and a debt nor did she verify she was actually speaking with the proper person. He told her to speak to me and handed me the phone. Again she did not inform me that this was an attempt to collect a debt, or that the call may be monitored or recorded for quality assurance, etc. She stated my husband owed almost $4000.00 for damages to - housing that we had moved out of over 9 months prior. When I asked for documentations of charges, she had another person, - -, email me our move out check list ( which I already had and does not state this amount ) as well as something handwritten on hotel stationary. When I called her back and told her that this was not acceptable, she stated that she did n't have to provide us with anything else and she would pursue legal action. She was incredibly rude and hung up on me. I faxed over documentation from the


and my cell phones - times. The - time I answered she did not verify my identity or tell me it was an attempt to collect a debt and started out by stating she never received our carpet documentation and my husband needs to settle this account. She stated that we signed the lease ( I was nowhere on this lease due to the fact that it was - housing ) but told her I had a copy of that and the move-out inspection which shows different than whatever documentation she has. Again she refused to provide us with any documentation of this alleged debt and I told her I knew my rights as a consumer. She hung up on me. An hour later she called back and said - and once again hung up on me.
