March 4, 2016 - I had been a former employee, then customer of E-Trade for many years. I had my E-trade checking account linked to my Pay Pal account. -/-/-, there were several unauthorized charges in my Pay Pal account, which spilled over to the E-Trade account, since it was attached. I first contacted Pay Pal, and they went ahead and credited my account for the unauthorized charges. The problem is E-Trade Bank. January 23, 2016 - I have been waiting for ETrade to return my $100.00 checking account balance for - - months since requested ( 5 months after I closed the account ). I opened an account with ETrade in - 2015. After a few weeks of 'please resend this or that document ' and them losing the documents, I closed my accounts ( checking, brokerage, ira, etc. ).
