TCF National Bank Mortgage settlement process and costs August 28, 2015 - This complaint is regarding a mortgage loan I had with TCF Bank. Due to financial hardship, in - of -/-/- I received a loan modification refinance through TCF Bank. During the modification process, I was never informed of the charges of the refinance or what amounts/charges were included on the loan, even thought I asked. The day I signed the refinance modification documents, I was not given any explanation of the charges, only the interest rate and the mortgage monthly payment amount which I was happy with since it was going to be very low compared to what I was previously paying.
