June 30, 2015 - Performant recovery sent me a bill for the dept of taxation in the state of louisiana for the year -/-/-. I filed a federal return for the year -/-/-, and was supposed to get around $2600.00 back. The state of Louisiana offset my federal return and applied the amount of my tax return to the amount that I owe the state of Louisiana which was $3000.00. April 8, 2015 - Performance Recovery levy my payroll. I wrote them a letter indicating that i do not owe them any money, nevertheless, requested that they submit to me signed copy of the contract, cancelled checks, and any other documents that might indicate that Iinitiated this loan. As indicated to them the federal law suggests that they should respond back to me within 30 days. They did not respond back, instead, a new levy was sent to my employer to continue the levy. this is causing a financial burden.
