The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is a 21st century agency that helps consumer finance markets work by making rules more effective, by consistently and fairly enforcing those rules, and by empowering consumers to take more control over their economic lives.

The CFPB will forward your complaint to National Mediation Services and work to get a response. After your complaint is forwarded, National Mediation Services has 15 days to respond to you and the CFPB. National Mediation Services is expected to close all but the most complicated complaints within 60 days.

November 2, 2015 - This is the second time that this fake debt collectors calling and harassing me that I owe them money from a payday loan that has closed for 4 months and the - - - and when I had went to the bank they said you owe $470.00 and the debt collector said I owe them $600.00 their was no contact or a letter by mail and they have called me and harrased my family so I had gave my debit card that I do n't use and they set up a payment plan for me and I told them that I ca n't afford it because I am on social security - and the collectors say if I did n't pay them the will have me arreste...
