I had already vacated the premises due to unihabitable conditions, - rat infestation ) and they wanted rent money and fees for that one month and readying the apartment ( carpet fee etc ) they also kept my deposit. However, the judge stated that I did not owe them any more monies, not for rent, carpet fee, readying the apartment etc. However, - put the debt on my credit report and sold it. I left the place because of their lack of security, roach infestation and loud obnoxious neighbors. I went to court because they said I had not paid my rent. I had money orders etc to show it was paid yet they still sought legal action against me. I responded to the judge and explained the situation thoroughly.
