PNC Bank N.A. Bank account or service deposits and withdrawals July 29, 2016 - We operate a small business on the - - -. A number of our employees do not have bank accounts and need to cash their payroll checks. We discovered that they were paying a substantial fee to cash paychecks at a local check cashing business. We advised them to cash their checks at the bank on which they were drawn. We were very surprised PNC charged them a $10.00 fee per check. These fees amount to a significant percentage of an employee 's paycheck. It does n't seem fair an employee should have to work an hour just to cash their paycheck.
