TD Bank Mortgage settlement process and costs December 15, 2015 - I have made a purchase on a house I was scheduled to close on Monday, -/-/-. I initially applied for a mortgage loan through TD Bank back in -/-/-. However, the mortgage processor neglected to let anyone know there was only one piece of the information missing until today, which prevented me from being able to close on the house. My husband 's death constituted a hardship, and I have been unable to work on a loan modification, request Florida 's Hardest Hit Funds, or appeal to any other kind of avenue to prevent a default of the loan.
