(FNIS) Debt collection disclosure verification of debt right to dispute notice not received August 18, 2016 - Paid auto repair service with a check from my - credit card account on -/-/16. My check was accepted by the business. I received a written notice via mail from - on -/-/16 that the check had been denied. I contacted the auto repair business to settle the debt but was told that they had been paid. They referred me to Certegy check services along with a case number. I contacted Certegy and found out that my debt had been turn over to Complete Payment Recovery, a collection agent. I paid the debt including the $40.00 recovery fee.
