CU Recovery, Inc. Debt collection communication tactics threatened to take legal action July 14, 2015 - My wife co-signed on a car loan for her son. Her son stopped paying on the loan and the car was re-possessed. We received a letter about a week ago from a collection agency named CU recovery, from Wyoming, with an amount to be paid. My wife contacted the agency and was told to try to get a loan to pay off the balance, and if we could not get a loan, they would work with us to resolve the account. Today, my wife contacted the agency, and was told that we had one hour to figure out how to pay for the debt, otherwise they would sue her and garnish her wages.
