Advanced Collection Bureau, Inc. Debt collection communication tactics frequent or repeated calls September 15, 2015 - My roommate and I were evicted from - - - in -, NC back in 2013. We only owed one months rent which was just about $900.00 but once turned over to Advanced Collection Bureau they tacked on extra fees totalling $2700.00. They have called me repeatedly and asked me personal questions about my income taxes and recommended that I send my entire check to them. I was told that I will never be able to get an apartment in my name again. When I asked to speak with a supervisor I was told I did not need - and I just needed to pay the debt.
