May 21, 2015 - I was contacted by this company who is threatening to sue me. So i entered into an agreement to repay the debt. I was sent an email of a letter after i asked that a physical copy be mailed to me. i then noticed small typos and no street address only a po box . However i was unsure of the laws, and felt a little uneasy so I checked my credit report and I did not see the debt they are attempting to collect so I assumed it had been charged off or was too old to be collected. May 13, 2015 - Received a phone call from a man claiming to be in the same county as I. He said he had legal paperwork to deliver, and that I was being sued by a company called Northwind Associates for an unpaid debt from 4 years ago. I asked what the debt was and he told me I had to call the company. He gave me a case number and I called. The man who I spoke with asked me to confirm my identity by giving my date of birth.
