Private student loan Getting a loan Fraudulent loan Texas

In - of - I applied for a private student loan through Wells Fargo. Within a month I received notice from Wells Fargo that - - - - - refused to certify the loan because the term dates I listed on the application were invalid. After considering the terms I decided I did not want the loan and called Wells Fargo to ask what I needed to do to cancel it. The representative told me that I did not need to do anything because the school refused to certify the loan and unless I updated my paperwork it would not be approved. I did not update the paperwork and believed the loan application to be cancelled. After I graduated in - of -, I received a statement from Wells Fargo notifying me that my loan would be in forbearance for six months. When I called to question what they were talking about I was told my loan had been disbursed to - - - - -.

in turn have to mail it to Wells Fargo to cancel. I did this as soon as I received the check and Wells Fargo credited my account for the full amount of the loan on -/-/-. In - of - I began receiving calls multiple times per day from Wells Fargo regarding 'a delinquent student loan '. I had older student loans with Wells Fargo that had been set up for auto draft so I called to notify them of this as I believed they had made an error. When I called Wells Fargo I learned the loan in question was the one that had been cancelled. Wells Fargo stated that interest had been accumulating on the loan as well as late fees. I explained to multiple collection personnel and supervisors all of the circumstances above and Wells Fargo determined that even though the check was never cashed and I was never notified about additional charges the fees were due to them and they intended to collect. Wells Fargo called me multiple times each day starting early in the morning and going through - at night. They called my employer multiple times per day even after being told by staff at my agency to stop. Additionally, the charges were reported as a delinquent account on my credit report. In an attempt to minimize any further damage to my credit and employment status, I paid Wells Fargo the full amount due on -/-/-. Starting -/-/- I began receiving multiple calls on my cell phone but no messages were left. I later learned it was the Wells Fargo collections department. On -/-/-, I received an email stating one of my student loans needed my attention. When I logged to review the account it is listing a past due balance of - and the assessment of late fees on the loan in dispute.
