Received a letter on -/-/2016 from - - - - stating that I owe $1300.00 for new carpet from an apartment that I had moved out of. At no point, was I ever given an opportunity to settle or dispute this amount prior to going into collections. I wrote a letter to - - on -/-/2016 requesting a summary of charges for the damages or receipts and they could not produce. I have no proof that these charges are valid. Now this dept is entered as a collections on all 3 of my credit reports.
