My husband and I applied for the USBank Visa FlexPerks card under the - promotion this past -/-/- but have been denied the incentive FlexPerks points. We applied online on -/-/- after having previously ( within a couple of days, if not even the day of our application ) talked on the phone with a cardmember service/customer representative who informed us, after our explicit inquiry, that we were definitely eligible for the promotion. After not receiving the points, we inquired as to why. The response from USBank was that we did not apply using a particular promotion link. When we on the phone with the USBank representative, we were not directed to use such a link. Even so, we did click through the dedicated promotional page, if not the promotional link, to find and fill out the credit card application. USBank 's argument was that the company often has multiple promotions running at once and that they would not be able to say for sure that we applied under the - promotion. However, we applied during the designated timeframe for the - promotion and have a call on record indicating our intent to apply for that card. After requesting that cardmember services pull the call we placed prior to our application, the cardmember service manager refused to take action by reviewing the call because it " was n't associated with the particular credit card account. '' It 's upsetting that they will not pull the call, which will clearly indicate that we intended to apply for this specific promotion ( and that we subsequently did apply for the card through which the promotion was offered ) even though my husband and I have two other cards with the bank, and my husband has been a USBank customer for some-20 years and, as such, our call would be accessible, if only associated with a different card or the account more generally.
