Citibank Credit Card Complaint

Other

Citibank Credit card department,

Illinois

I have a Citi - credit card with Citibank (Citicards CBNA). When I first got it, I received a phone call (possibly in -/-/-) from a service representative that my payment was severely late, and they offered to set up automatic payments right there over the phone. I provided them with checking account information in order to do so. This recurring minimum payment has continued being taken from my checking account ending in - every month, even when I have already paid over the required minimum with other payments. I am in the midst of a divorce, and soon will not have access to the checking account that this persistent payment is being taken from. In -/-/-, I attempted to get the payment removed since I'd set up a new and different automatic payment from my new checking account (ending in -). The old scheduled payment can not be modified through the website, and numerous customer service reps I've talked through over the phone say that they have removed it and it is no longer visible in their system. On repeated calls after the scheduled payment was still listed

been for almost two years from the checking account that I do not want to be accessing. Citibank should not be allowed to take money from a bank account that I no longer wish them to, they should not put the onus on me to call repeatedly to try and get it fixed, and should not give me assurances that they are addressing the manner when they are clearly not. They are wasting both my time and energy. The kicker is that after looking at my credit report, there is no record of any late payments on this card at all! I now question whether or not I was actually late on the card in the first place, and what Citibank's motivation was behind the initial phone call to set up this payment setup that they refuse to remove.
