On -/-/- my wife and I went into the -, IL. branch of US Bank to transfer out two IRA 's to another bank, each IRA had matured on -/-/-. At the time of the transfer the assistant manager processing the paperwork reduced the amount of each IRA by $30.00 as a fee. We had brought all our IRA paperwork with us to the branch and asked the agent to show us where this fee was disclosed. After looking through all the IRA paperwork the assistant manager - called an internal US Bank support line for help. After the call he provided us a " Consumer Pricing Information '' brochure ( printing -/-/2016 ) showing a transfer fee. We opened the IRA 's 5 years prior and were not given any fee information for the future, and there was no mention of any fee until we tried to access our money. We did asked to have the fees waived but were told only the manager ( - ) could do that and was not available that day. We also called the US Bank 24 hour banking line the following Monday ( -/-/- ) who referred us back to the bank branch we had already visited. I also called the branch the same day and spoke to the branch manager ( -/-/- ) who could not help us in refunding the fee. The attached support documents only discuss early termination fees and nothing about transfers at maturity. Attached please find a copy of all IRA documents ( note : wifes IRA is identical in terms, dates, and fees, I can provide these if necessary ) This practice seems predatory in nature as we were not informed of the fees, never signed anything acknowledging the fees, and are charged this $30.00 fee on each and every IRA account.
