Incorrect information on credit report Account status Tennessee

I had a loan with - - - - opened -/-/2009. The account was charged off and the status was closed derogatory. I checked my credit report this month and the status has now been changed to Open-Derogatory. I called - - to see why they changed it to an open status, and they said they did not, and they are reporting it to the credit bureaus as closed. This has made my score drop almost - points.
