I contacted Synchrony Bank and spoke with - and asked for a credit limit increase for my furniture card. The representative never told me that he would be pulling my credit report ; and when I asked the representative if this would result in a hard pull and he informed that it would not ; yet, I received a credit inquiry on my - account. I contacted the company and they informed that they do not have scripts that requires them to inform customers nor are they required to because it is in their terms and conditions. Had I received the correct information ; I would have NEVER had agreed to this. I have other synchrony accounts that they do not do hard pulls. So, when he confirmed that it would not ; I was okay with the result.
