Identity theft / Fraud / Embezzlement Illinois

On -/-/2016, I submitted a written dispute which included an affidavit of unauthorized opening of accoutn in my name. I have been payinng on the bill since then because it has DRASTICALLY effected my credit score and I am trying to buy a home. However, I have received no response to my valid dispute. I beleive they have not responded because I have been making payments. I am just trying to not let this effect me any more than it already has.
