I signed up for a Discover credit card because of its cash back promotions, including 5 % " bonus '' spending categories and 5 % " Discover Deals. '' However, Discover has made it virtually impossible to verify that their cash back has been properly applied via unacceptably long delays in crediting the bonuses, inadequate and confusing documentation of the bonuses, and a chronic unwillingness to investigate my inquiries.
