Case Description : Brand New Customer and I 've had nothing but horrible customer service and still unable to use my card, ca n't seem to find anyone willing to help. I ordered a Wal-Mart Credit Card around -, and after having to have the card re-mailed 2 times, I finally received it on -. I ordered the card specifically to be able to get my children 's layaway out and for no other purpose. I received my card on -, called in and activated my card prior to heading up to Wal-Mart to pay off the layaway. My card never went through and so I had to get out of line to call in and figure out why. After speaking to the representative I was informed that a fraud alert was placed on the account and that I needed to verify some information. I verified with the representative my Name, Address, Phone Number, Social Security Number etc ... They then proceeded to tell me that they were going to send a text message to my cell number, which they did


to remove the fraud restriction and allow me to complete my transaction. Every time I call in, every single representative has been not only rude, but does n't answer questions that you ask, talk over and you can clearly tell that they do not care about Customer Service at all. It logically makes no sense, that a person can verify every single piece of information on their account but not be considered " verified '' b/c of a cell phone number!!!! Especially when I 've previously been verified on the very same cell phone number numerous times before. I also tried giving them - other numbers and they were n't able to use any of them. This situation is beyond frustrating and b/c I have not been able to get a Customer Service Agent on the line willing to help, I had to take this route instead. All I want is for the restriction to be removed so that I can complete my transaction.
