Equifax is reporting erroneous information in my credit file regarding a Bankruptcy from 2011. I have tried without much success to have Equifax remove the bankruptcy that is associated with my name and credit file. The latest result was a " confirmation '' that the information was indeed mine after the company " verified '' their information through -. After speaking with an Equifax representative, it has come to my attention that the reporting agency makes use of third party reporting agencies. How Equifax came to their conclusion is dishonest and this makes what they are reporting invalid. I know for a fact that the court systems to not verify public records with the credit bureaus or third party reporting agencies. Equifax is using their insistence on their information being correct to ruin me and my credit file.
