I have been issued a writ of garnishment for a debt under a previous name ( I was married in - ) that was assigned to a bank account I had in -. I filed for bankruptcy in -. I do not recognize the debtor, - - - - and have received a second notice of garnishment, this time for a bank account I opened in for my incorporated business. The original debt listed was for $1100.00 and the garnishment order is for $3300.00 This debt is not listed on my credit report, and I have no way to know what it is for without engaging the collection agency and reopening the statute of limitations.
