U.S. Bancorp Bank Account Or Service Complaint

(CD) Certificate of deposit Making/receiving payments, sending money

U.S. Bancorp Bank account or service department,

(CD) Certificate of deposit Making/receiving payments, sending money California

I am the Trustee of my daughter 's - trust and manage the trust CD accounts at several banks. - of those banks is U. S. Bank, - - in - -, California. The Trust has a CD account, currently around $ - that has been in that branch since -. It gets renewed upon maturity. Last maturity was on -/-/-. I have not received the bank usual maturity notice in the mail, so in such a situation, the bank automatically renews the CD with the same term ( 11 months ) and for the CD rate on that date. The previous rate was 0.5 % and that rate is low but the bank automatically renewed the CD at a ridiculous rate of 0.05 %, which is a rate even low for a saving account. I contacted the bank personally and spoke to the banker and the branch manager and even complained to the regional manager that such a renewal rate is not fair and not realistic for an 11 month CD of $ -. I asked them to show me the CD rate on or about -/-/- and the branch manager said he ca n't get that. I asked the regional manger for the same information and she said she ca n't do anything to correct that rate. I asked for her full name and she refused to give me her full last name. I needed to document the persons that I contacted in the bank for this issue and she did not give her full name. I have other CD account for the Trust and then other bank give around 1 % which is low but acceptable in this market. I find U. S. Bank action in this situation to be very unfair and most likely other consumers can experience such disregard to consumer rights unless the bank is made to be aware of that bad practice. It is ridiculous for an 11 month CD of $ - to be generating around $3.00 interest per month even in this market.
