Medical False statements or representation Attempted to collect wrong amount Washington

I found the debt on my credit report from Armada Corp and when I called the amount was a lot more than listed on my report. They stated it is interest they have been collecting. I told them I was never informed they were making interest off of this balance. I was under the understanding that if people or companies are going to charge interest on a debt, they have to inform the consumer. I do n't believe that a consumer should have to pay interest on a balance the company does n't communicate to you. As long as you do n't look at your credit report they will just keep charging and the consumer has no idea. I do not have anything in writing to attach because I never received anything in writing.
