Synchrony Financial Credit card department,

Closing/Cancelling account Kansas

I had an account with Synchrony Bank ( formerly GE Credit ) for - - stores which was closed and paid in 2009 but it remains on their system and they say it can not be removed despite the fact that is closed, can not be used and should not be in their database this long. They refuse to remove teh account.
