My son has a private student loan that I co-signed on. This loan has been all over the country with different lenders. However when I spoke to a collector they gave me - name that I tried to contact however, they no longer have the loan but it is in Navient system. I have contacted them several time and just found out that what is in their system is wrong and Navient owns the loan. On private loans there is a 12 month forbearance. However, do to illness and hours lost from work I requested a 2 month forbearance I pay $900.00 a month but I am behind 1 month. I am trying to work with them however, I was hoping to get this forbearance to make life simpler and not so stressful. They stated they could n't. I know that my time is up but helping a loan borrow is always more helpful. This loan gets paid off next year. I am hoping you can help me in this situation. - - said to contact you in hopes that everyone could work something out. This a hard company to work with because everyone has a different story to tell me. I am hoping for a forbearance to bring the loan current
