Bank of the West Bank account or service department,

Checking account Problems caused by my funds being low New Mexico

The bank charged me a $35.00 fee which was unfounded and a huge disservice as a single mother who literally counts pennies to feed my child. I will not have anymore income for two weeks and that $35.00 dollars was literally the budget to feed my daughter! Child Support issued my benefits on -/-/16 ( documentation attached ). I wrote a check in the afternoon on - postdating it for -/-/16 which is when the $130.00 showed up in my bank ( which was initiated on - ). Yet, somehow when I woke up on -/-/16 the check had already been cashed ( again it was post dated -/-/16 ) and I had a $35.00 fee. I do not have any money to throw around and I am disgusted in the Bank of the West for fraudulently sneaking in fees like this. I would normally let it slide, but I do not even have $35.00 left in my bank to feed my child for the next two weeks thanks to this unexpected fee which I did my best effort to avoid by not letting my account go negative, but still got - over by Bank of the West!
