Amex - prepaid cards charge the card holder $3.00 per month re regardless of balance after 6 months of issuance. This is seems to violate usery and common sense. The longer Amex has use of the funds the more they make on the unclaimed balances on these cards. Charging $36.00 in fees annually on a $50.00 gift card is obscene and lacks any ethical justifications.
