Other (i.e. phone, health club, etc.) False statements or representation Attempted to collect wrong amount Florida

Credence Resource Management has been recently attempting to collect on a debt here and Florida where they do not currently have a license to do so. I first requesting validation of the debt and after researching creditor further, I learned that their license is inactive here in the state of Florida yet they continue to report this debt on my credit report. I 'm not sure how they obtained this information from -, as I do not nor ever had an account from them, but to not even be legally authorize to attempt to collect this debt in the state of Florida is surprising to me.
