I was paying my Wells Fargo Visa card in full as they had perpetrated fraud on the account. This has previously been reported to the CFPB. I called the phone number on the back of the Wells Fargo Visa card as the amount that was reported on the statement was apparently incorrect as there was an approximate $42.00 still owed on the card. I explained I was closing the card. Wells Fargo said I could pay directly from my - Bank account. She asked for the account and routing number which I gave her. I checked the Wells Fargo Statement and $9.00 was owed on the card. I called the number on the back of the card again and spoke with - women. They each explained this charge was interest on the card. I explained the card was paid off and closed. I also requested their explanations of this charge be sent to me in writing. All said this could not be done. The last woman I spoke to, -, finally said the $9.00 would be waived. I agreed. I checked my - Bank acct on -/-/2016 and the $9.00 had been withdrawn without my agreement. I again called Wells Fargo and was told that Wells Fraud Investigators would contact me. I said to please make note that they should contact me in writing only. Yesterday, I received a phone call from Wells Fargo which I will not return. Also, yesterday I received a letter from Wells Fargo Card Service stating, " thank you for using our telephone payment service ... .. ''. for payment of the $9.00. I never gave them permission to once again enter my - BANK ACCOUNT for this amount. THIS PRACTICE IS QUITE FRIGHTENING. I have notified - Bank concerning this fraudulent practice.
